Saturday 28 November
1pm - 3pm
Tired, rundown, fed-up and anxious? Join the club. We are living in extraordinary times, faced with constant change, more time being spent indoors and a build up of stress that’s leaving many disconnected.
Yoga isn’t a magic wand, but it can certainly help navigate the challenges of these current times. This 2-hour workshop is designed to uplift, relax and renew. The first half aims to create space in areas of the body that accumulate tension from poor posture and lack of movement, great for work-from-home bodies. Following this, you’ll be guided through a restful floor-based sequence aimed at soothing the nervous system.
During this workshop, you will:
Practice an accessible and functional Vinyasa-based practice to connect with body, breath and mind
Focuses on creating resilience and strength in common areas of weakness and tightness, especially the upper body, the spine and the hip joint
Use props, guided meditation and restorative poses to ease frayed nerves, release layers of tensions and cultivate a deep state of rest
Leave having returned to your more natural state of being, a place that exists within all of us but often hidden by the demands of this new way of living
Open to all levels.
Props required: blocks, bolsters, pillows and blankets or household substitutes.
